Alexander Garcia-Tobar
President & CEO
Alexander serves as SyncTV’s President & CEO. Alexander has served in CEO/Executive positions for over 15 years at several successful technology companies in addition to founding 2 companies and working as a Sales Director at Forrester Research and an associate at The Boston Consulting Group, a strategic management consulting firm. Prior to SyncTV, Alexander founded AGT Group, an Interim CEO consultancy group, assisting a global client list of startups through $100M+ internet companies with re-structuring, strategy, operations, funding, and sales & marketing. Previously, Mr. Garcia-Tobar was founder & CEO of Lattice3D, a leader in 3D publishing, with clients ranging from Toyota to Boeing. Before Lattice3D, Alexander managed Global Sales, Professional Services, Business Development, and International Marketing at ValiCert, an enterprise security company, (acquired by Tumbleweed). He has experienced 3 IPOs & one exit, and successfully worked on A, B & C fundraising rounds. Alexander is a graduate of Yale University, has lived in 5 countries, speaks 6 languages fluently, and won the 1986 World Karate Championship, black belt division.
John Gildred
Founder & CTO
John is the founder and CTO of SyncTV Corporation. Prior to SyncTV, John served as Senior Vice President at Pioneer Electronics for eight years where he launched major products for Pioneer and Sony including first generation Blu-ray and the award-winning Kuro plasma television. Before Pioneer John founded Indrema, an open source game platform for independent game developers, and OpenSoft, an award-winning consumer Internet communications software company. John has held several CE industry forum leadership positions, including Vice Chair of UPnP Steering Committee, Chair of CEA Home AV Networking Group, IEEE and IETF representative for Pioneer. John has also served as a senior technology consultant to several Fortune 500 companies.
Dennis Wilkinson
VP Marketing & Sales
Denny is Head of Marketing and Sales at SyncTV. Prior to SyncTV, Denny served for over a decade as CEO/COO of several successful media technology startups. Starting as CEO of Princeton Video Image, the company that introduced the virtual first down line in NFL telecasts, then onto several interactive TV startups. At PVI, Denny lead the company to significant growth increasing its revenue over 4 times in 3 years, ultimately selling the company. Subsequent to PVI, Denny moved to CEO of Lenfest Media Group, where he managed the highly successful CamSystems ad management platform for local cable. Following Lenfest, Denny became CEO of BlackArrow, a pioneering ad management system for VOD. And immediate prior to SyncTV, Denny helped launch the highly innovative virtual product placement company, MirriAd LTD. Early in his career, Denny was Head of consumer marketing at HBO, and SVP Marketing and Programming at Primestar Satellite TV, the first digital satellite service in the US. Denny received his BA at Princeton University and studied at the Harvard Business School PMD program.
Don Spencer
VP Engineering, Backend Systems Development
Don joined SyncTV in 2007 and is the VP of Engineering for Backend System Development. Before joining SyncTV Don worked at Harris Broadcast Systems where he directed the development of complex frame-accurate broadcast automation systems. Prior to that Don was the Chief Architect / VPE at RioPort where he lead the team that developed the first commercially available portable MP3 players, the Rio PMP300 and Rio PMP500, as well as the RioPort online music service. Don also worked at Diamond Multimedia as the Director of Audio Engineering where he lead in the development of numerous innovative and award-winning audio and telephony products, and at 3Com where he played a key role the the development of various networking-related products.
Ani Joshi
Manager, Application Development
Ani Joshi leads the client applications team at SyncTV. Prior to SyncTV, Ani spent eight years at Pioneer Electronics where he served as Lead Software Engineer. Ani led the embedded application software team at Pioneer’s North American product development department, responsible for developing front-end applications for the plasma television and Blu-ray player product lines. Outside of the office, Ani has contributed to several open source software projects, as author and maintainer of components in the Linux kernel, X Windows System, and Linux/PowerPC project.
